L’Oreal Gold Obsession Lipsticks

There’s something about gold shiny packaging that just makes me fall in love. Especially as we approach the festive season. L’Oreal’s latest lipstick offering is a package dream. Gimme.

Gold Obsession lipsticks are L’Oreal’s classic Color Riche Formula with added metallic gold finishes. In other words, perfect for the party season. I picked up two colours, Plum Gold and Pink Gold. The formula of these is everything I love in a lipstick, great colour pigmentation and moisturising. These babies won’t dry out your lips at all.

Plum Gold does have a noticeable shimmer to it, but if I’m being honest for this time of year I really like it. It doesn’t remind me of nineties lipsticks with big chunks of glitter in the finish, but more of a perfect party shimmer. Pink Gold is more of subtle day pink with a bit of a metallic finish. Basically my perfect Christmas daytime pink! They also a full on gold lipstick in the collection which isn’t really my cuppa of tea but hey, it is Christmas time (nearly).

What’s not to like then? These lipsticks won’t make it pass a cuppa or a sandwich. They certainly don’t compare to other drugstore favourites in the lasting department.

I reckon these two shades will be getting a bit of a bashing over the holiday season but after then, they will  probably get forgotten about.
